I hired Evelyn to care for my father shortly after he was placed into hospice, and she was the top-notch caregiver I’d hoped to get, through the remainder of his life. She was warm and loving and responsive and sweet from the start and won the confidence of every one of my family members, which had its own challenges, but she navigated it all brilliantly and with compassion. I needed her to be someone who looked out for his best interests in a rather difficult situation, and she absolutely did do that. For example, at a time when I could tell his ability to eat solid foods was an issue, Evelyn brainstormed softer foods and just got them for him before anyone else there even recognized the issue, making him scramble eggs and giving me list of soft foods to have delivered to the house. She read the constantly changing situation there correctly every time, and to his great advantage and my great relief all throughout a difficult process. As his decline advanced, she responded to each new stage with love and compassion and skill, making excellent recommendations, proactively informing me and other caregivers of key changes in his status, and was in many ways really the primary caregiver among quite a few throughout the entire process. She is outstanding on all levels that I can think of: knowledge, services, insight, attitude, skills, compassion, everything. Highly recommended!
