Hello! My name is Evie (pronounced EH-vee). I am 26 years old from California, and I am currently a lead pre-k teacher. In August 2020, I graduated with a degree in liberal studies (elementary education) with a minor in linguistics at California Polytechnic State University SLO. Through my degree, I was prepared to be a full-time public school teacher, including specialized elementary-specific math and science preparation courses, lesson planning experience focusing on hands-on activities, and 50+ hours of in-class experience working with students at off-campus school sites. Due to my minor in linguistics, I also have a certificate for teaching English as a second language (TESOL). I recently spent 7 months as an English teacher in Japan. I can provide the following services depending on the rate: cleaning, cooking, lesson plans, tutoring, and exercise plans/dietary plans. My hobbies include reading, gaming, art, crafts, cooking/baking, sports/weightlifting, and teaching!

Evie is an amazing, caring, thoughtful person. We paired with another family and hired her to help us with childcare and education in 2020, during the pandemic. She took on a challenging position during the most difficult, stressful, scary points in our recent history. She created unique learning experiences for the children to supplement their "Zoom Kindergarten" experience. But most importantly to me, she supported my son's emotional challenges in ways that enabled him to feel safe, comfortable, and helped him navigate those challenges himself during times when I just wasn't able to. She helped give my son a unique, healthy, and positive experience during a time when we were all struggling. I can never thank her enough for her work during that year.
