About Garrett

I'm a SD native with 5+ yrs of experience working in caregiving and educational settings. I've worked as a PUSD ESS program aide, a special education paraeducator with BVSD in Boulder, and a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). I also provide babysitting and respite care. I've supported children from 18 m/o to 19 y/o, including those with diverse learning and behavioral needs. I'm patient, empathetic, reliable, and focused on creating a safe, engaging environment. I've completed basic life-saving EMT coursework and received certification (though I did not work as a BLS EMT). I also spent 12 yrs in plumbing before transitioning to people-focused work. I enjoy staying active--hiking, swimming, and skating--as well as video games, Pokémon, and being with my wife, family, and cat. I love connecting with kids through play and shared interests.
