I am looking to provide some local families with some support & guidance in managing care for their loved ones in their home that are struggling with the effects of many health challenges. The health of the primary carer is often neglected leading to exhaustion & an inability to cope. A few hours a day to focus on yourselves is necessary so you can continue to provide the loving care desired and remain healthy. I have a Bachelor of nursing degree and have 30+ years working in mental health. My career in nursing began in acute adult and Geriatric Psychiatric settings. I then moved to adolescent psychiatry for 8 years. My focus then shifted to Community Care Management focusing on the senior population working in a Dementia day program. The last 8 years have been spent providing in home Hospice & Palliative care services. I've chosen to focus on this population as I love working with the elderly, providing them with as much joy, comfort & dignity as possible as they age.
Georgia provided exceptional professional care for my elderly father during the last three years of his life. She was completely reliable in every situation, good-natured, and deeply committed to ensuring his physical and emotional well-being. My father looked forward to her arrival each day, and Georgia’s warm, engaging personality always lifted his spirits. Her extensive nursing experience brought a high level of expertise to every aspect of her work, and her skills were perfectly aligned with my father’s needs. Georgia managed his personal care that including bathing and grooming, meal preparation, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing companionship. She was particularly skilled in using the ceiling Hoyer lift, making transfers for my father from chair to bed effortless, safe, and comfortable. Georgia also accompanied my father on medical appointments and cultural outings, helping him to maintain a balanced life. Georgia is an ideal caregiver—trustworthy, compassionate, knowledgeable, and deeply considerate. She provided outstanding care with professionalism, patience, and kindness. I recommend her without reservation to any family seeking exceptional senior care.
