About Gina

Experience: 8 yrs

I'm happy to take your kids to activities but the most important thing I will do is smile at your precious ones and remind them how special and loved they are every day. I taught kindergarten & fourth grade for 6 years and then taught graduate education classes at Hofstra for 10 years while raising my girls. I'm a certified yoga instructor and certified Children's Mindfulness Educator. Most recently, I've been a full time nanny this past year. Besides raising my own kids it is the most fulfilling work. As a mom I wasn't just a mom. I was super mom extraordinaire. Why? Because I loved all of it and my kids felt that joy. I loved the infant and toddler stages, being the Girl Scout Leader & Lunch Mom, countless playdates at my house, watching them at sports and competitions, cheering them on, helping them become problem solvers & critical thinkers. My girls are now 24 & 22 and recall the gift of happy childhoods. I will strive to provide the same safe, nurturing, fun space for your kids.

Best Nanny Ever // Marry Poppins x Childhood Developmental Specialist As a parent, one of the hardest decisions to make is determining who will care for your child when you return to work. Just minutes after meeting Gina, it was one of the easiest decisions our family has ever made. We had the distinct privilege to have Gina as part of our family as our nanny from when our son was around 18-months to nearly three years old. She is the most dependable and reliable person I have ever met and brought such peace of mind to our family. She has such a brilliant gift for children of all ages – especially infants and toddlers. Her impressive background in education mixed with her extensive experience working with a range of kids of all ages, provides her with a unique ability to understand a child’s needs and emotions. Gina was like having a personalized childhood developmental specialist mixed with a nanny who had Marry Poppins magic in our home that loved on our children – how lucky were we! Open-hearted and thoughtful, Gina was professional, warm, nurturing, and generous. Her awareness of developmental milestones was so helpful. It made transitioning from the various stages seamless and provided us the much-welcomed guidance to better attend to our son’s needs. We credit so much of our son’s socialization and early language to Gina by way of their daily adventures to the park, library and playdates with friends. During our time together, my second pregnancy took some unexpected turns, and we spent six weeks in the NICU. Gina was our rock. Balancing between leaving half your heart in the hospital and your other one at home was so hard, yet she was there for all of it – as a caregiver, friend, and more. As we welcomed our second son home, she was fabulous with him and wonderful helping juggling the specialty care he needed. She has so much love to give. We are lucky to still have Gina as a friend, and the only reason she is not our nanny is that I decided to stay home with our boys. Her experience is unparalleled, her heart even bigger, and her positive attitude made our entire time together so wonderful. I strongly encourage you to jump at the opportunity to hire Gina. Gina was an incredible blessing to our family. She is a beautiful person and professional and any family would be lucky to have her in their lives. We value our time with her and the positive and lasting impact she made on our sons. We are incredibly thankful for her contribution to our family and have no doubt she will provide the utmost love and care for yours. Please feel free to reach out with any questions as it would be an honor to elaborate on our time together with Gina.
