I spent about 30 minutes speaking with her by phone before inviting her to my home. During that call, I clearly explained the housekeeping position, the responsibilities, the schedule we needed — Monday through Thursday, approximately 8/9 AM to 12/1 PM — and the hourly rate of $25. She agreed to all of it. She then came to my home, spent about two hours with me, reviewed the position again, accepted the job, and left seeming happy and excited to start. Afterward, I sent a welcome email confirming the position and pay. She then texted me saying the hours did not work for her and that she would not be taking the position. This was extremely frustrating because the hours, responsibilities, and pay were all discussed clearly in advance, more than once. She also repeatedly asked to be paid in cash, even though I had already explained that we do not pay cash. Overall, this was a very unprofessional experience and a waste of time. I would not recommend hiring her if you are looking for someone reliable and straightforward.
