About Heather

I like caring for seniors because everyone deserves to live in dignity at the end of their lives. I want to keep them out of nursing homes for as long as possible. I started caring for seniors when I was young, then went to college and had a career; but I have since realized that it's more rewarding to care for seniors than any other job I have had. In my spare time, I like to read, write, walk in the park, play games, and solve puzzles. One thing you should know about me is I absolutely love animals. I've owned dogs, cats, birds, and even lizards. I love them all. My skills include the ability to sensitively handle symptoms of dementia including outbursts, the ability to work independently and proactively, and the ability to cheer people up and keep them engaged.
