Hi families! I've been nannying on and off for the past 12 years in various roles from newborns to preteens as well as babysitting roles prior to that. I also worked in both a summer camp as well as in a preschool through Jumpstart Americorps. I was with my most recent family for about 2. 5 years. I started with them when their first was 18-mons and stayed through baby 2 turning 16-mons. Unfortunately the family had to move and joining them wasn't feasible for me. I'm a very hands on nanny who loves coming up with fun and educational crafts and activities and and tries to limit screen time. I use a lot of play based learning and Montessori day-to-day. As well as work with validation and emotional regulation. I try to teach all my kids the skills necessary to deal with their big feelings. The last mom I worked with in talking about me said that she and her husband consider me as both their family and their colleague and that really sums up what I'm looking for.
