About Heather

I have 6+ years of professional experience working with infants through teens in various settings, such as teaching in childcare centers, nannying, babysitting, and tutoring. I'm passionate about supporting children with additional needs. I have experience with autistic children, including non-speaking and PDA profiles, as well as children with ADHD, OCD, and anxiety. I also have experience supporting developmental delays and collaborating with therapists to practice goals outside of therapy. I provide neuro-affirming, trauma-informed care, and follow current best practices. I have experience creating and teaching developmentally appropriate early childhood curriculum from a play-based philosophy that draws on Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, and Montessori. I also have supported cyber learners and homeschoolers at all grades. I have experience with potty training. I also have experience with baby sign language. I'm comfortable with all pets, do not smoke, and am CPR/1st Aid certified.
