About Heather

I've spent most of my working life as a freelance editor, but in the past little while, I decided to give that up and be happy instead. Since then, I've been writing, dog walking, house sitting and learning to sew and grow things. I've discovered I have a deep fondness for tending to things. Tiny seedlings, foster puppies, rescue dogs, unorganized cupbards, you name it. I even raised an entire human being and sent her out into the world. I'm artsy, creative, emotionally intelligent, and perhaps a bit overly educated. I love books and bikes, libraries and parks, all the good dogs and all the naughty dogs too. But somehow kids make all of these things better, and I would love to be a part of their journey. So if you're seeking a part-time Mrs. Doubtfire who can tackle homework and housework and and even walk the dogs and organize the art supplies, please reach out to me!
