About Heidi

I raised my 3 children, one with autism. I'm the mom happy to load 7 kids into the Honda Pilot for adventures in daily life as well as creative outings into nature. I'm also that mom with the mountains of Legos but NO instruction booklets/ALL imagination. Arts and crafts of all sorts, particularly the made from scratch projects (vs. packaged kits). I'll read until the most stubborn of eyelids drops. I'll even write books with your children. (I'm a freelance writer, a published author and occasional media personality. I graduated Brown Univ. in 1992.) I babysat since I was 12, all ages, including many newborns and infants. My first job was at age 12, caring for 3 children under the age of 5. I worked after school, and 10 hrs each Sat - 30 hrs/week - for 30$/week! I helped my mother who 'took-in' children under age 1 during my early teen years. (She also raised 4 children and worked nights as a newborn nursery RN.) Recently I nannied a toddler for two years - he entered full-time pre-K in January. I sometimes accept smaller jobs (after school driving, overnight, evening and day shifts). I also have an adventure camp. Thank you.
