About Helina

Hi! My name is Helina, and I'm a medical student at George Washington University! I also attended the University of Virginia (Class of 2019) for my undergraduate degree in Cognitive Science. I'm passionate about biology, reading, and writing, and I have volunteer tutored English, biology, and ESOL for elementary and high school students for 3 years. I love teaching and am now looking for a way to keep up with my expenses in medical school. I'm organized, patient, and would love to work with middle and high school kids on: -English -Biology -College Essays -College Admissions -ESOL -Study Skills I would be happy to work with your child on homework assignments and projects, study for tests, and review difficult material. I'm open to both one-time meetings and longer term commitments, and would likely be able to work once per week for up to 3-4 hours. I prefer to meet virtually, but am open to discussing safe ways we can meet in person as well!
