About Idalia

I give Idalia Colman my highest recommendation as a child-care provider. I employed Idalia full-time as nanny for my two children (now 2.5 and 5.5 years old) from August 2011 to May of 2013. We still see her regularly and she remains extremely close with both of my children. Idalia is one of the few people, including our closest family and friends, whom I trust completely with the care of my children. I have been consistently blown away by her commitment and her creative and energetic approach to childcare. When in Idalia's care, my children were constantly engaged. When I would come home from work, I was always excited to see the range of creative activities that Idalia and the kids were engaged in. She did an amazing job of including both of my children in play, despite their different ages. Because my daughter is inclined towards theater, much of their activity involved dressing up, acting out stories, cooking pretend food, throwing parties for stuffed animals, and putting on shows. She also took the children to the playground and always played with them instead of watching from the sidelines. Idalia made the kids dinner, gave them baths, and put them to bed when I worked late. She read them stories, taught them songs, and always seemed to be introducing new, creative, age-appropriate activities. Idalia is consistently warm and patient with my children and always happy to see them; they, in turn, are always happy to see her and to speak with her on the phone, which they still do regularly. Idalia was wonderful through challenging times as well, caring for my son during two separate surgery recoveries and taking care of the kids during illnesses when I was unable to stay home. She is exceptionally conscientious and always had my children's safety and happiness as her foremost interest. Idalia has been an incredible asset to our family and is tremendously gifted in working with children. I have no reservation in recommending her for employment with your family.
