About Irene

I graduated from Princeton University in 2008 with a BA in Comparative Literature in French and Spanish and then went to get my MFA in Drama at Yale. Since then I have been conducting private tutoring. I am certified to teach the math and verbal portions of the ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, SAT, ACT and Common Core exams. I also tutored students in middle school and high school Math, Spanish, French, and English and Writing. I have taught Spanish at an elementary after school program in Tribeca and a Math and Verbal Common core class at a charter school. I believe that the combination of my academic background and teaching experience make me a fine coach and tutor. Furthermore, my studies in acting involve reading people and connecting with them. I am interested in customizing lessons so that each student can approach a difficult subject in his or her own way.
