I have a rich experience in childcare. In addition to my lovely daughter I have had the pleasure of caring for children ages ranging from 2 weeks to 14 years. I love being around children. I take my job very seriously and I am devoted to the children I care for. I love music, arts and crafts, and enjoy engaging children in different activities throughout the day. I have a degree in engineering; therefore I am good at math which gives me an opportunity to help children with math homework if needed. I am a very patient person, but I am also very energetic and love taking children for walks/playground. I am available for babysitting, child care, as well as light housekeeping. Irma is such a joy!  She has been caring for my daughter 5 mornings a week for the last year and a half, starting at 13 months.  She has built a special relationship with her, takes her to the park and activity classes, and also is lovely with my older children when they're around.  We are hoping to continue our relationship with her even as my daughter enters preschool.

My oldest is now 11yo and she started helping us when they were a year old. As our needs changed, Irma has flexibly transitioned from thrice weekly care to the current monthly child watching when we parents have our date nights. She’s just as comfortable caring for toddlers as she is with pre-teens. 

As a parent, your main focus when you hire a caregiver is that your child will be safe, but your hope is that your child will be loved. We’re lucky that our children love and are loved by Irma!

As no family lives nearby, my husband and I hired Irma for our first night out without our infant many months back.  We were nervous, of course, but Irma eased our fears with her great care-giving.  We were very happy with her services then and have been every time since.  She is kind, caring, and does all sorts of extra things to make your child and your home more comfortable (e.g. extra diaper cream, washing bottles, etc.).  We would definitely recommend her!

Irma has taken care of my 4-year-old twins one morning a week for the past school year, which has just ended. She was very dependable, and I felt confident in her as a responsible and caring babysitter. She is very creative, and artistic. She and the kids often took nature walks, and crafted little figures from acorns and flowers. She brought them little gifts from time to time, and celebrated their birthdays with presents as well. She also is good at communicating; my kids had an episode of disrespectful behavior one week, and she let me know gently so that I could talk with them. I definitely prefer this over a sitter who just keeps it all to herself. Taking care of kids is a team sport! She had a bit of a commute to get to our house and was often 5 minutes late, but I do think that was because of traffic.  My kids are at an age where they are deep into imaginary play with each other, so they did not bond with Irma the way they might have if they didn't have such a strong bond with each other.  However, she is a lovely person and a very good, trustworthy babysitter. I would definitely recommend her.

Irma has looked after my son on short notice on more than one occasion.  He seems happy to spend time with her and is well behaved when I arrive.   She always picks up his room.

Irma cared for my 6 year old after I contacted her in the last minute when I was in a pinch.  My son who is a shy child, loved her. He did not want to go to bed, he was having too much fun despite being down with a cold and mild fever. It's wonderful that she's a former engineer - my son is a science buff and they got along wonderfully together. She is warm, kind, patient and is a mother herself. I highly recommend Irma and she will be on the top of my list next time I need a babysitter!

She's great with kids. She seems genuinely caring about them and loves to play with them. My son took an instant liking of her. She responds very promptly, shows up on time, asks questions. Just feels very easygoing and trustworthy. Excellent!

Irma has taken care of my 2 children, mostly after school and weekends, for past 1.5 years and we are very happy with her.  She is very engaging and active.  It was great that she could help my middle schooled with homework, especially math.  She has tons of experience with young children, and has raised her own. Excellent child care!
Irma is an excellent with children. She is very responsible, carrying and loving with our child. When I left for work I always felt safe leaving my child with her. In addition Irma has CPR and first aid certificates. She always had many activities planned for the day and took our son for walks and taught encouraged him on the playground to socialize with other children. She is an excellent fit for a child care position.

I hired Irma to take care of my son after school as well as tutor him in math. My son's grades improved dramatically after Irma started tutoring him. Irma is a very responsible, caring and committed person. She works with children based on their developmental level. Irma is also very reliable and flexible. She is very punctual which is very important for me. I recommend Irma because she is great at forming good relationships with children as well as easy to work with.
