Having someone live in your home and care for your children is an incredibly personal decision, and for me, trusting someone with my twin girls did not come easily. After having our au pair with us for the past two years, I can honestly say that choosing her was one of the best decisions our family could have made. She has become so much more than someone who helped care for our children — she has become family. My girls absolutely adore her, and the love they have for her is something you can see and feel. She genuinely loves them, and I have always been able to see that in the way she interacts with them, comforts them, plays with them, and cares about the little things that make them who they are. One of the things I value most about her is how trustworthy, loyal, and honest she is. It was difficult for me to put my trust in someone else with my children, but with her, it became easy. I have trusted and relied on her more than anyone, and I have always felt confident knowing my girls were in her care. I could tell her something once, and she would listen, understand, and respect my wishes. I never had to constantly repeat myself or worry about whether my parenting choices were being honored. That level of trust is priceless. She also took the time to truly understand my children — their personalities, their individual needs, their routines, and what made each of them happy — and cared for them as if they were her own. She was never someone who simply sat around while the kids entertained themselves. She was engaged, energetic, and always finding ways to keep them learning and having fun. She taught them songs, read books with them, danced with them, played with them, kept them busy, and made everyday moments into opportunities to learn and grow. She is a true go-getter, and I have always loved that about her. Most importantly, she has brought so much happiness into our home. Having her here for these past two years has been such a gift, and knowing that she is leaving is incredibly bittersweet. We will miss her tremendously, and our home will truly have a piece missing without her in it. I cannot recommend her highly enough to another family. If you are looking for someone who is dependable, trustworthy, loving, respectful, energetic, and genuinely invested in your children, you would be incredibly lucky to have her. She has brought our family so much love and joy, and we will forever be grateful for the role she has played in our girls’ lives. She will always be a part of our family, and we sincerely hope that the next family she becomes a part of feels the same love, trust, and happiness that she has brought to ours.
