About Isabel

Hi! I recently graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy, with my bachelors in social work. I love working with kids and plan on using my degree to find a future career that involves helping children (I'm thinking either school social work or working in the foster care/adoption system). I have about 7 years of experience working with children of various ages. I volunteered at the preschool of my church for about 5-6 years, usually working with the 3-4-year-olds but occasionally I would work in the infant department. In the summers of 2017 and 2018, I was a part-time babysitter for a family and their 2 girls (aged 6 and 10). In the fall of 2018, I traveled to Spain and was an Au Pair for a family for about 3 months. I helped the family take care of their kids (aged 1 and 3) and also helped with household duties. In 2019, I was an instructional assistant in a kindergarten classroom. I worked one-on-one with a student who struggled behaviorally and academically.
