About Itzel

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, understanding, and caring. I like working with kids because of the way they interact with the world, and how their smile and laughter lights up a room. I started working with kids when I was very young. I would take care of my sister and change her diaper. Later on I started taking care of my little cousins, both of whom were breastfed, so I know how to handle breast milk. With the uprise of "iPad kids", I think it's important for kids to have a limit of screen time or none at all. I like to revert to old school, reading, playing, coloring, etc. I think it's important for kids to use their imagination and be creative. Being bilingual myself, I think it's important for kids to know more than one language, not just for knowing it, but because of it engages their brain. In my spare time, I like to crochet, watch some tv, and spend time with my friends, family, and my furry friends.
