We Used Jackie for a few weeks. She was warm with the kids and adapted to our household quickly, but reliability and professionalism became an issue for us. She was consistently 3–7 minutes late to nearly every shift start, and when I addressed it respectfully, the conversation became defensive rather than solution-oriented. I explained that I schedule appointments and commitments around childcare coverage, and was surprised when I was told I should consider booking my appointments later to allow more flexibility for her arrival time. There were also multiple situations where I felt initiative and follow-through were lacking. For example, when my daughter’s bedding had been removed by the cleaners, nap time was skipped entirely instead of simply remaking the bed enough for her to rest. Another example was asking for the kids’ lunch boxes to be cleaned at the end of the day, they were quickly rinsed and left in the sink with food still stuck insid.This may be a better fit for a family with more flexible expectations or scheduling needs.
