About Jaina

I am a student returning to UMF to finish my degree in English and I am hoping to both make a little money (who doesn't love paying rent?) and get more involved with the local community. While I have no professional experience, I have 1. 5 years personal experience of caring for two seniors with dementia. I am experienced in bathing/dressing, mobility assistance, medication management (including insulin) and many other ADL's. I have several years of experience as a cook so I love helping to provide meals! I am also a-okay with helping do housework, and love pets (unless you have a pet tarantula). I can often be found on a long walk outside, or on my porch with a book or sketchpad and pencil. I find both art and physical activity to be fun and therapeutic at the same time, and seek out opportunities in my daily life to incorporate both wherever I can. I am moderately hard of hearing and am conversational in ASL.
