About Jalyn

Greetings, My name is Jalyn J. I was born and raised in Williamsburg, Virginia. I am quite familiar with the climate and dynamics of the city. I went to Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools and then decided to pursue my Bachelors of Science degree in Sociology with a Family Studies Concentration. During my time at Longwood University I was a senator on the Student Government Association, completed an one hundred 20 hour internship at Crossroads Community Youth Home, and was a Resident Assistant for two years. These involvements provided intense training and certifications. In addition, my employer required me to become Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certified. Lastly, for two years I did research that targeted parental involvement. I was asked to create parental engagement programs that allowed us to carefully assess and analyze the programs impact on families and children. Aside from a professional background, I am empowering, trustworthy, and energetic.
