About James

I'm leaving this review under Pet Care, but what Care.com really needs is a category called "People Care." Jim would be at the top of that list. I recently needed an EGD procedure, which required someone to drive me to the appointment, stay nearby during the procedure, and drive me home afterward. I found myself in a panic trying to figure out who I could call. My parents have both passed away, and my usual support system wasn't available. Then I remembered Jim. As always, he came through without hesitation. He arrived early, stayed with me throughout the entire appointment, and was exactly who he has always been—kind, dependable, informative, and able to keep me smiling even when I was nervous. What may have started as transportation became something much more valuable: peace of mind. I'm now beginning another medical treatment that will require transportation and several hours of assistance twice a week. When I asked Jim whether mornings or afternoons worked better for him, his answer was simple: "Whatever works for you. I'm here to help." That phrase doesn't fully capture what Jim provides. He doesn't just help. He shows up. He makes difficult situations feel manageable. He brings reliability, compassion, patience, encouragement, and a genuine sense that you're not alone. In a world where it can be difficult to find people you can truly depend on, Jim is one of those rare individuals who consistently goes above and beyond. I am incredibly grateful for him and recommend him without hesitation.
