Recently moved from north jersey to the Philadelphia area and looking to be helpful to a new family. Growing up with five brothers, I have been helping with childcare as long as I can remember and have been lucky to translate that experience to work as a nanny, babysitter, and daycare teacher for the last 15+ years for children aged 4 months to 12 years old. I find kids genuinely hilarious and insightful and enjoy encouraging their curiosity and engaging with their interests. I tend towards the Montessori/Reggio Emilia philosophy of child-led collaboration in my approach. I have a degree in psycholinguistic and am very interested in primary language acquisition! I absolutely love to read to and with children and prefer low-tech activities like crafts, sports, music, and playing pretend. Love animals of all kind, have my own car, CPR/First Aid certified, safety and respect always come first.
