I like working with kids because watching and influencing a child's development is one of the most special human experiences. It's so interesting how kids think and problem solve. I have six years of professional childcare experience including being a kindergarten teaching assistant, nanny, sleep away camp counselor, and running the swimming program for Camp Sloane YMCA. As a camp counselor, I cared for children ranging from 8-17 in the sleep away program and as young as 4 in the day camp program. In my spare time, I like to make art. I am a practicing visual artist who specializes in sculpture and printmaking. I love going to museums and art galleries for inspiration. One thing you should know about me is I make an amazing egg sandwich. My friends and family can attest, I can whip up a perfect egg sandwich whenever requested.

Janelle is amazing with our very active 4-year old son. She would pick him up from preschool and go on adventures to the playground or a museum. She is caring and attentive. Lots of energy and a very cool vibe. Would hire her again in a heartbeat.
