About Janet

I have years of experience raising my own children both of whom have begun their lives beyond college. Once my children entered elementary school I began work as a preschool teacher's assistant. For eight years I taught children ages one through five. My goal has always been to provide a safe and nurturing environment while promoting socialization, problem solving, curiosity and fun. For the last 11 years I have been caring for infants and toddlers in the family home. I encourage reading, imagination, questions, finding answers, crafts, healthy food choices, outside play and bursting into song when necessary! Being able to experience again the milestones of childhood has been especially rewarding. I have become an honorary aunt to families and would bring that warmth, continuity and security to your family. I understand and appreciate the demanding schedules of families and working parents today and would welcome the opportunity to fulfill the needs of your children and family.
