I have over 30 years of experience caring for children. I began my work in babysitting by caring for neighbor's kids, then working as a camp counselor, a camp director, a preschool teacher, a nurses aid in an elementary school. Then I had my own two children with whom I stayed home to raise. I am now happily a grandmother of a 6-year-old and a 3-year-old. There is nothing I enjoy more than caring for children. As well, I'm an excellent, healthy cook.
I am currently available for part time care only.

Janice was so patient and kind with both my 3YO and 8 month old. She took everything in stride (like when the baby was sick) and was wonderful at entertaining them. She kept everyone on schedule which made everything so smooth for us! 

Janice was such an AMAZING hire. She graciously agreed to watch my 2 kids and my brother&#39;s 2 kids for a night over Labor Day weekend. We were at an rental without much and she showed up with toys and smiles. The kids (ages 2,3,5,&amp; 11) had such a great time and all told her they loved her at bedtime! I am so grateful for Janice&#39;s help and highly recommend her to any families looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

Janice is fantastic! My 22-month-old son absolutely adores her. She really helped me out of a pickle where I came from out of town, working full time, and didn't have any childcare or family nearby to help. Janice was dependable, always came on time, and flexible on her end which I find incredibly helpful. The quality of care my son had was very caring and enriching. Janice took him to the park, the farmer's market, the library for outdoor story time, she cooked/baked food with him, gardened with him... the list goes on and on. She was also very considerate of Covid safety. I'm thrilled to know I can call her whenever I need childcare and I can't recommend her highly enough!

Janice is the most amazing babysitter I've ever had watch my child. She is warm, positive, confident and makes sure he is having fun while being safe. If you are looking for the someone that will care for your children like you do, Janice is your gal.

I have known Janice  for over 30 years. We met in a childbirth class when expecting our first born children. Back in the day, Janice would care for my kids and other children in our network of moms. 

Janice has an inborn gift for childcare- a true way with babies and children.  Through the years, I have observed that Janice's warmth, intelligence and authenticity come through to even the tiniest of humans. Janice is also a phenomenally talented jazz singer!   She founded and has sustained, the very successful monthly Jazz  concert series at Mt. Olive Lutheran for over 20 years.

I have seen her teach and impart her love of cooking, baking and song to her own wonderful and now grown children. 

I absolutely recommend Janice with my whole heart to any parent looking for super capable and trustworthy childcare.  She also knows more lullabies that anyone on the planet and loves singing to kids!

Janice has tons of energy and does a great job playing creative games and singing for the kids!

Janice is simply the best. The kids love her because she sings, she dances, she really just loves being with kids. One time we put her up to the challenge of taking care of 5 kids ranging in age from 2-6 years old on a Saturday night and the kids had a blast and she had them all sleeping when we got home.  I would trust Janice in any situation, she feels more like a friend taking care of my kids not a babysitter. She is a gem.

We love having Janice as our nanny. Our 8 month old daughter took a liking to her right away. Her long walks, park outings, backyard bubble sessions, and constant singing have our daughter in huge smiles and extending her arms out. She learned the ways of our house very quickly and meticulously washes our baby bottles and pump parts. I know that my daughter is in wonderful magical hands with Janice.
