About Jasmin

My name is Jasmin, I'm 24 years old and have 2 years experience working with children. I have a background in psychology, with coursework in human development, memory and cognition, basic neurological functions, and more. My professional career began by serving underprivileged youth of the Los Angeles area via substitute teaching. I taught kids as young as 5, up to age 18. This experience helped me get my foot into the door of specialized instruction. When working as a developmental specialist, I helped children age 0-3 with developmental delays and disabilities catch up on their milestones and learn functional skills through play. By incorporating evidence- based practices, I helped my children with their receptive and expressive communication skills, gross and fine motor development, cognition, memory, and problem solving, adaptive skills such as feeding, and their social/emotional development.
