About Jayn

Previously, I was an early childhood development teacher for seven years and a nanny for nine. I have been caretaking for children for over 30 years. My philosophy and approach to early childhood education and development is through hands-on learning and immersion through sensory play in nature and within the community. I do not use screens to teach rather I allow the children to participate in as much as possible to help develop their cognitive and emotional skills as well as reading, writing, language, and motor skills. I am a cook and enjoy cooking nourishing, organic, home-cooked meals and love it when the children join me in the kitchen, garden, or farmers market to connect with their food. I have my own transportation; however, prefer access to a family vehicle with installed car seats when taking the children to and from activities. I am not COVID vaccinated and prefer families who are not or stopped taking it.
