About Jennifer

As the primary caregiver to my grandmother for 8+ years through all stages of dementia, I care deeply for those living with the disease. My objective is to help maximize quality of life, and I'm passionate about helping loved ones navigate through care as the disease progresses, as well as advocating for better treatment by offering what I've learned through the care process & providing useful resources. I'm experienced in best-care practices through each stage of the illness, from mild to severe, including: companionship/ socialization, assisting w/basic needs (grooming, meal prep & feeding, light cleaning, etc), I'm skilled in redirection & managing sun downing, mobility/ambulatory & incontinence care, and I'm well versed in communication with those who have limited verbal abilities. I understand that each person with dementia is different in what type of care and caregiver is the ideal match for them, and I look forward to the opportunity to see if I'm a good fit for your needs.
