About Jennifer

I met Jennifer for coffee before hiring her to care for my mom. We decided to have her come meet my parents a couple of weeks later. She cancelled that meeting citing an emergency with a pet. We then kept our original start date and she did come for that and stayed and helped do some personal care and companionship. I was present for this visit and everything seemed to go very well. The next week she cancelled just 2. 5 hours before she was to arrive, stating she was ill. She then texted me a couple of days before the next scheduled time, and stated she was feeling better and was planning to come care for my mom on the normally scheduled day. Today is that day, and I received a text from her stating she can no longer care for my mom, and sorry for the inconvenience. I tried responding to her via text and call, to just try and understand why, with no response. This is very unprofessional. I am now back to square one and have lost almost 7 weeks where I could have been trying to find another caregiver. Be aware if you are considering hiring her. If she had any reasons this would not work she could have discussed this initially and not wasted so much of our time. Also, no explanation as to why.
