Jennifer T. from my observation with her helping me out with my husband during his cancer journey was one of a person with a good medical skillset of helping take care of the elderly.....she would encourage him to try to do as much as he could for himself with his ADLs as well as telling him he could eat another mouthful of his meal without sounding condescending......she would jokingly let him know as she would say..."you can do this, you can do this "...... an he would attempt to take another bite.....she would often encourage him to try an walk with his rollator picking up his feet.....she was encouraging never making him feel he was not really trying even if he wasnt.
