About Jerica

Hello! I have over a decade of experience as a private nanny and within a classroom setting caring for ages from newborn to school age. I recently graduated culinary school, and would love to incorporate that background into my new role. I have experience with baby-led weaning, allergy/specialty diets, and meal prep. I worked in a Montessori classroom as the lead toddler teacher for the U. S. Navy, and my classroom at Rollins was based in Reggio Emilia philosophy. I'm calm, professional, gentle, and prioritize a child-led approach to learning and care. I am confident with developmentally appropriate practices and tracking milestones. The classroom has trained me in objective observations, implementing age-appropriate curriculum, behavior management, and inclusive practices. My time in the private sector has fostered a love for personalized care and following a truly child-led approach to learning.
