About Jessica

Hello, my name is Jess, I'm 27 years old and incredibly passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities. I currently have an AA in child and adolescent development, as well as a bachelors degree in Kinesiology. Through my previous courswork I have learned about a variety of disabilities as well as how to adapt physical activities and movement to best suit individuals abilities. My future career goal is to become an assistive technology professional. Professionally I have been working with individuals with disabilities for 6 years in a variety of environments including: classrooms, summer camps, motor development clinics, in a memory care facility, in homes providing ABA services, as well as respite care, and as a Direct Support Professional. Through these experiences I have had hands on experiences with transfers, sports chairs, wheelchairs/power chairs, adapted sports equipment, walkers/standers, shower tables/shower chairs, AAC devices, and more.
