About Joanna

With over 16 years of teaching experience and a degree in English literature, I have dedicated my career to fostering a love for language arts among my students. For the past five years, I have been proud to serve as an English teacher within Frisco ISD, where I have taught 8th and 9th grade Integrated Language Arts (ILA) and speech. My passion for teaching, combined with my patience and understanding, allows me to effectively engage even the most reluctant learners, helping them to appreciate the beauty and complexity of language. Currently, as an active member of the district, I am well-versed in navigating platforms such as Canvas and other educational resources, enabling me to support students in successfully completing their assignments and enhancing their overall learning experience.
