I have a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and Developmental Psychology from Wheelock College and have a passion for working with young children and watching them explore, learn, and grow. I am an adventurous and active person and love the outdoors. I love to incorporate nature into play-based learning experiences for the children I teach and care for. I am also very creative and love painting, drawing, and coming up with fun crafts and cooking projects with the awesome kiddos in my care. Joanna is an amazing childcare provider! She is super fun and warm, creative, dependable, upbeat and unflappable. She takes the time really getting to know the kids she cares for- and delights in helping nurture and guide them in developmentally spot on ways. Joanna's judgement is excellent and she is a master with helping kids when they struggle. Joanna is an excellent communicator with kids of all ages and with grown ups. Joanna comes up with tons of fun activities and gets the kids outside a bunch. She has built shadow puppet theaters, built bird houses with the kids and had the kids observe nature in their nature books. We have been so lucky and grateful to have Joanna care for our kids this year, for reference our kids are 6yo and 3yo, with a 7yo from another family. We would not part with her but we don't need full time care for this next school year. Any family who gets to have Joanna join them will be very lucky.
