About Joanne

I am a Paraprofessional at Silver Lake Regional Middle School working within the Special Education Department. I assist and tutor 8th grade students in all of their core classes, and now due to COVID am trained to do so remotely. I spent 8 years prior to that as a Paraprofessional working at the Kingston Intermediate School giving assistance to special needs children, within their classroom as well as in their inclusion classrooms. Before I began this journey, I was a stay at home mom and was heavily involved in both my children's academic and social activities. When the job at the Intermediate School presented itself, I pursued the opportunity because of its compatibility with my children's schedules. I chose to stay with it even after my children went on to college, because I found the experience enjoyable and rewarding. I have found my true passion and would love the opportunity to discuss your child's current and future needs.
