Hello, Families! I am new to the Triangle and in search of special needs caregiver or nanny positions. I have two degrees in special education and was a special educator for 22 years. I have experience with children and young adults with moderate to severe/profound disabilities, including those with multiple disabilities. I'm comfortable with lifting/transfers, adaptive feeding (including g-tubes), nonverbal communicators, AAC, incontinence, seizure disorders, and supporting individuals in independent living skills. My favorite roles are those that combine in-home care and community outings/support. I am dependable, patient, creative, and passionate about working with individuals with special needs! I am hoping to find at least one position with guaranteed hours and some PTO, but I'm open to less formal positions or as needed care as I put together a caseload of caregiving roles. (I am also open to full time for the right fit!). I look forward to learning about your family's needs!
