About John

I started working for the State of New York with the Developmentally Disabled in 1978. After 35 years, I retired from the house I managed with 14 senior ladies having DD, walkers and wheelchairs, to care for my mother who had Alzheimer's and later Cancer. I cared for my mother, 24/7/365 for 7 years. Until she passed in her own bed. Then COVID hit... Now I simply need to help others and make some side money to help me survive on my Social Security.... I'd describe my personality as Personable, Positive and Patient. I like caring for seniors because I understand how frightening it can be when you need assistance and don't want to ask for it. I'm looking for a job that to assist those in need with compassion, understanding and empathy. In my spare time, I like to work in my yard, meet up with family, friends or watch a good movie and occasionally hit a good restaurant. One thing you should know about me is I'm easygoing.. My skills include understanding, adaptability and patience
