About Jo

Hello! My name is Jo and I am a college student looking to do part time work. I'd describe my personality as energized, passionate, and dedicated. I like working with kids because I love to see them learn and grow. Empathy, kindness, curiosity, and respect are all learned from our environment and it is so amazing when you get to see those developmental building blocks being placed. I did a little babysitting in middle school, then stopped for a long time, and then started working with kids again the second I graduated high school in 2023. I worked with the YMCA for 2 years in after school care. During the summers I worked as a lifeguard and cabin counselor at Jones Gulch. I plan to work with them again next summer, when I don't have school. In my spare time I like to play video games, do capoeira, study Russian and Portuguese, and draw.
