About Joselyn

With 7+ years of experience, I have a Liberal Arts degree and Child Development education. I began working in a care facility as a young preschool Lead teacher (3-4 yo) in 2017. In 2020 I moved to Oregon to Teach an outdoor pod for 8 kindergartners while they completed classes and coursework through zoom, and provided after care hours when class was completed. I moved to Portland in 2021 and began working at a NAEYC accredited nonprofit facility as the Toddler Lead Teacher. Their approaches are PBIS, REI & Reggio Emilia inspired. I have accumulated over 80+ hours in training for health & safety, challenging behavior, child development, curriculum & multicultural family dynamics. I have lots of practice in creating and implementing lesson plans while creating documentation of observations on children's growth within all developmental domains. I am currently training for Education Director at my facility. I nanny on weekends for several families. Hoping to slow down a bit for well being.
