About Joshua

Hi! My name is Josh. I recently moved to the area from Sonoma County in Northern California. In my hometown, I worked as a camp counselor for over 5 years where I lead groups of 15 to 20 campers in daily activities. The age groups ranged for 5 to 12 years old so I am very comfortable with those ages. I recently also worked at an afterschool program where I was the classroom leader for the 7th and 8th graders. I really enjoyed working with kids and from my time at my summer camp job I realized I wanted to go into teaching which is what I am currently working towards at UCSB. I'm planning on receiving a major in History and a minor in Educational Studies and then will apply to the Teaching Education Program. I hope to eventually be a high school history teacher.
