About Josie

Hello! My name is Josie. I graduated from the University of South Carolina where I received a B. S. degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. During undergrad, I completed a 12-month internship at a pediatric psychiatric hospital, William S. Hall Psychiatric Institute, where I worked with children ages 4-18. Currently, I am in graduate school at The Citadel where I am working on my Education Specialist degree in School Psychology. During the 2018-2019 school year, I completed my practicum at James Island Elementary School and Murray-LaSaine Montessori School, where I gained additional experience with children both with and without special needs. From 6/2018-8/2019 I worked as a psychometric for the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at MUSC. While there, I worked with children with special needs ranging from ages 4-18. As the oldest of five, I gained years of babysitting experience starting in middle school and continuing through high school.
