About Journey

Hello! I'm Jo (they/them) and I've been working with youngsters in many disciplines for almost 10 years, sharing skills and fostering passions in nature exploration, physical literacy, expressive arts, and more. I take particular focus on helping children build social skills and modeling empathetic relationships. I have worked with newborns-teens, with most experience with toddlers and early childhood ages. In my other arenas of life, I am a gardener, tinkerer, artist and an advocate for color. Families have described me as nurturing, imaginative, playful and communicative. I love recognizing children's sparks and helping them explore their passions while highlight their strengths. I find great inspiration in these moments, ushering their personalities and expression into the world and am always grateful to get to enjoy these interests alongside them.
