About Joya

Hello I'm Joya! I am an Ithaca local coming from a job as an after school counselor, a daycare employee, and a frequent babysitter. I've enjoyed my several years working with kids because they make me feel like a kid again with their imagination, creativity, and humor. As for animals, I've always wanted to work or volunteer with animals of any kind and hope to one day work at a shelter or rehabilitation center. I often walk dogs and have housesat/pet sat several times as well. I also started using Trusted Housesitters as a way to travel and get to spend time with pets! In my free time, I like to cook, dance, spend time outdoors, craft of all kinds, watch movies, and do yoga. One thing you should know is I do not currently have a car, only my partner has one. I live in downtown Ithaca so walking to all my jobs has never been an issue for me. If you're far out of town it might be more difficult to commute, but not impossible!
