About Julia

Hello! My name is Julia and I'm seeking a part-time childcare position beginning at the end of August, ideally with guaranteed hours (16-24). I'll be starting grad school for social work at Pitt in the fall, which is also when my contract with the infant I'm currently nannying will end. My daytime availability will be limited because of an internship and classes, but I anticipate being available for childcare 2-3 days a week. Maybe this could work if you're a parent who only needs to go into the office a few days a week, or works from home and needs consistent time to focus on work! I have 5 years of childcare experience, ranging from infants to school-aged kids. Before that, I spent 3 years working with women and children who were experiencing domestic violence and living at a shelter. It's always really rewarding to form a strong bond with a child, and for me it starts by being present with them, taking their questions seriously, and supporting them as they move through the world.
