Experience: 15 yrs
Fostering a child's natural curiosity and watching them reach new milestones is my true passion. With 15 years of professional experience, I offer a patient, calm, and creative approach to childcare for children ages 0 to 6. My background includes a college degree with focused Early Child Development coursework, as well as current First Aid Training and CPR Training. I am a Certified Teacher who loves leading outdoor sports, educational games, and imaginative craft projects. I am very comfortable enforcing your household rules and am happy to assist with light housekeeping. I prioritize your preferences for communication, whether through verbal updates at pickup or regular texts. I look forward to bringing my dedication and warmth into your home to help your children thrive.
Kaelynn has been our in-home care provider for the past year and a half, caring for our son from the age of 1.5 to 3 years old. She has truly been a blessing to our family. She has also always been incredibly flexible and willing to step in when our older daughter, who is 4, did not have school and needed care as well. From the very beginning, Kaelynn created an environment where our children felt safe, loved, and comfortable. Her home feels like a true home away from home. The children have access to a wonderful yard with plenty of toys and shade, which allows them to play outside comfortably even in the Texas heat. Inside, there are also many toys and activities that keep the children engaged and happy. Kaelynn is very creative and thoughtful in planning activities. She comes up with fun games such as scavenger hunts, organizes crafts, and gives the children opportunities to explore through sensory play, including activities like shaving cream play. She also builds in age-appropriate learning, and our children have learned a lot with her, including letter recognition, colors, numbers, and other early learning concepts. We also really appreciate her fun themed weeks and days, where the children learn about topics such as the underwater world, sea animals, or bugs in an engaging and playful way. We also greatly appreciated how supportive and fully on board Kaelynn was with potty training. She approached this important milestone with patience, consistency, and dedication, and she never complained about the inevitable messiness that comes with the process. Instead, she handled it with encouragement, calmness, and a positive attitude, helping our son feel supported and confident throughout. Most importantly, Kaelynn is warm, loving, and nurturing. She cuddles with our children, comforts them when they need support, and helps them fall asleep when they are having trouble by gently rubbing or patting their backs. She provides the kind of care that feels both professional and deeply personal. We are so grateful for the love, creativity, patience, and warmth Kaelynn has brought into our children’s lives. She has provided a safe, enriching, and caring environment, and we feel very lucky to have had her as part of our family’s daily life.
