About Kaitlyn

Hello! I'm a former lead preschool teacher and aftercare program coordinator looking for a new long-term post. My most recent employment was a year and a half as a nanny/household manager with a family whose children will be going to school full-time in the fall; I am sad to be leaving them, but am excited to start an adventure with a new family. I'm currently attending school online, working towards my goal of becoming a licensed marriage and family therapist. I am skilled at planning developmentally-appropriate activities. My general educational philosophy is a combination of the Reggio Emilia approach and RIE parenting. I have been a lifeguard and swim instructor, so I can teach children to swim, and I played classical violin/can still sight read and help children to practice piano or strings. I have 12 early childhood education credits, a clean background check and excellent references.
