About Kara

I like working with kids because I enjoy teaching them and learning from them. This past summer I worked at a summer camp, and I was a counselor for 10-12-year-old girls. I formed extraordinary bonds with a few girls and feel I impacted their life. I do not remember the exact age I started working with kids as I always wanted to help babysit my moms friends children! I got my first real babysitting job at 16, babysitting their two kids ages 6 months and 2 years old, I babysat for that family for two years and I still watch them when I come home from college! And since then I have babysat for multiple other families! One thing you should know about me is I am a junior in college at FAU studying to get my degree in social work and I plan on also getting my masters. With my masters in social work I want to become a therapist and it was actually through working with kids I realized I want to become a therapist for children! My skills include patience, compassion, and empathy.
