I am a retired schoolteacher, mother of two sons and grandmother of 3. My husband and I moved to Charleston in 2012 to be near family. Unfortunately, I lost my husband of 47 years to cancer. I taught preschool three and 4-year-olds and also taught grades 1 through 6 for several years. I have nannied for 7 different families since moving to Charleston. I adore babies and have loved every one of my charges. I still keep in touch with many of them and feel I have an excellent reputation. I am in my 70's, but still going strong!!! Updating my bio-I have nannied three more babies! I am losing my latest sweetheart to preschool which always happens- but they grow up and even though it breaks my heart, I have to let them go. I have been very fortunate to have families that continue to include me and keep me updated! These experiences have been , by far, the greatest of my life!

Karen took wonderful care of our daughter from age 6 mos - 1 year. She was a complete dream and handled everything for our daughter from early am to evening. If we didn’t move from JI to Mt P we would have stayed with her until our daughter went to school.
