About Karen

Hello, I'm an active energetic mature woman who loves caring for children. I believe every child deserves individualized loving care in order to grow up to be a caring loving people. I desire to be that person when the parents are unable to be. I previously had a home day care many years ago where I started with infants and loved and cared for them until they were ready to go to kindergarten. Most recent 2 1/2 years, I was a nanny starting when he was 2 until 4 1/2 when the family moved out of state. Prior to that I was a postpartum doula and nanny for 2 children. I've previously taken many child development classes and was certified in several areas while I had children in my care regularly. I will continue my education while working to learn new skills and current standards. I've been told that I am a natural with children and bond with them easily. While I specialize in caring for infants and toddlers, I do have experience with school age siblings of those in my regular care.
